Securing Vulnerable Families

Many family situations present pressing challenges that affect everyone in them.

They not only disrupt entire families; they can leave children without a stable or permanent home and can increase a child’s risk for struggles later in life – like mental illness, unemployment, even prison. Family challenges may also include managing work and home life, while also caring for an elderly family member locally or at a distance.

So to help these families now, and in the future, MHA:

Provides a safe location where parents and children can spend time together to renew or sustain supportive relationships

Makes sure children in difficult circumstances are able to get from one parent to the other safely

Works to find loving, permanent homes for children caught in an overburdened court system

Reaches out to the homebound and elderly
