Join the Mental Health Association of Frederick County (MHA) as it host three of its biggest events every year – the Catoctin Affair, the Children’s Festival of Maryland, and our Legislative Breakfast.

Catoctin Affair

The Catoctin Affair is an annual gala that features live music, auctions, and a gourmet dinner. The event attracts hundreds of guests from across the region who come together to support mental health programs and services in Frederick County. The Catoctin Affair is a wonderful opportunity to dress up, mingle with like-minded individuals, and contribute to a good cause.

Children’s Festival

The Children’s Festival of Maryland is a family-friendly event that is held every year in June. The festival is designed to celebrate childhood and to promote healthy living and wellbeing. There are numerous activities and attractions for children of all ages, including games, music, crafts, and educational exhibits. Parents and caregivers can also learn about mental health resources and services available to children and families in the community.

Legislative Breakfast

Join us for the Mental Health Association of Frederick County’s 38th Annual Legislative Breakfast, an essential gathering focused on strategies to protect Maryland’s Behavioral Health Carve-Out and enhance mental health services across the state. The event will take place at The Arc at Market Street, 555 S. Market Street, Frederick, MD 21071, on October 17, 2024. The morning begins with breakfast at 7:30 am, followed by a program from 8:00 to 9:00 am.
 
This year’s keynote speaker is Shannon Hall, Executive Director of the Community Behavioral Health Association of Maryland, who will share insights on improving mental health and addiction treatment in Maryland.
