COMMUNITY TRAINING

Sometimes First Aid isn’t a bandage, CPR,  or calling 9-1-1. Sometimes First Aid is you.

The Mental Health Association offers a number of opportunities for community education around mental health and wellness, suicide awareness and prevention, and a variety of early childhood topics.

ASIST

A practical, two-day training for those who want to learn how to respond to the immediate risk of suicide.

safeTalk

A half-day training program designed to help people be suicide alert.

Participants will learn to:

  • Recognize someone with suicidal thoughts
  • Move beyond tendencies to miss, dismiss, or avoid the topic of suicide
  • Link people with community resources

Early Childhood

Over 200 classes offered each year on topics including child development, health and safety, and curriculum.

Sometimes the best first aid is you!

Take the course, save a life, strengthen your community.
