2022 Legislative Breakfast

Just like a physical health crisis, a mental health crisis can be devastating for individuals, families, and the community. Crisis care is the most basic element of mental health care, yet in many communities, it is taken for granted—limited; a work-around; an afterthought. A mental health crisis is not planned. It cannot be scheduled. It can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

The Mental Health Association of Frederick County invites leaders, influencers, and advocates in the Frederick community to the Legislative Breakfast to learn about the Crisis System here in our community.  We will explore the past, present and future of the network of crisis services in Frederick County and hear how we as a community support effective, quality, compassionate crisis care that saves lives.

Andrea Walker
Director of Behavioral Health Services
Frederick County Health Department
