Outreach To Seniors

“If you didn’t call me, my phone wouldn’t ring all day.” – quoted with permission from a Telephone Reassurance Program Client
Many do not realize that the elderly are especially susceptible to depression and thoughts of suicide. The goal of the Telephone Reassurance Program is to relieve the loneliness and isolation some seniors may feel, while also checking on their safety and well-being. The program is a free service that makes scheduled, outgoing phone calls to the homebound and elderly of Frederick County who choose to enroll in the program.

To find out more about the program, enroll yourself or a family member into the program, or to volunteer to make Telephone Reassurance phone calls, call Linda Myers at 301-663-0011 ext. 120 or click here to send her an email.
